The EPLAN Technician plays a crucial role in our organisation, leveraging their Electrical Engineering experience to develop power supply projects, switchgear and distribution design, electrical design, instrumentation, wiring devices, control system implementation, motors/drives, and troubleshooting. As a key member of our team, the EPLAN Technician, under the guidance of the Senior Electrical Design Engineer, will drive design initiatives and provide support to all business units, contributing to a positive work environment.

Key responsibilities
Design and Documentation
- System control and system conceptualisation.
- Preselection of system components.
- Selection of control cabinet and LV distribution panel components in accordance with IEC or UL.
- Creation of circuit diagrams as well as material and spare part list.
- Preparation of detailed design drawings and documentation in line with specification requirements for LV Switchgear and Control Systems.
Flexibility and Adaptability
- Be flexible within the role and accept that from time to time, you may be required to carry out other roles within the business to assist in covering resourcing gaps.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a related position / comparable role involving exposure to Switchgear design engineering and managing multiple ongoing projects.
- Eplan Certification an advantage.
- Advanced MS Office skills.
- Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices, and performance standards.
- Ability to work with multiple disciplines, operational groups, and teams.
- Aptitude for problem-solving and decision-making.
- An adaptability to respond to a fast-moving business environment.
- Accuracy and attention to detail, solid documentation and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Adaptable, motivated and uses their initiative.
- Self-motivated individual who can set and achieve goals with minimal supervision.
- Full valid Irish work permit and proficiency in the English language.
