As a Low Voltage switchgear and Control Panel Tester, you will play a critical part in the organisation’s success by ensuring product reliability, supporting a culture of continuous improvement and ultimately delivering an exceptional customer experience.
About this role
Key responsibilities
- Inspect and test LV switchgear and control panels in a timely manner.
- Test power systems utilising equipment such as phase meters, hi-potential testers, meggers and infrared thermometers.
- Deliver physical pre-testing activities for the products to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Cooperate with Project Manager to successfully complete FAT testing.
- Input inspection and testing records accurately in the relevant platform.
- Actively participate in quality improvement projects.
- Mentor less experienced team members where applicable.
- Comply with all safety limitations and procedures.
- Adhere to company values at all times.
- Deliver any other duties associated with this role.
Requirements
- Qualified Electrician (recognised in Ireland) or Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- At least 3 years post-qualification experience.
- Experience in manufacturing is essential, preferably in the LV Switchgear industry.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and documents.
- Ability to inspect, troubleshoot, recommend repairs and modifications.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Understanding of the hazards associated with LV Switchgear.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage and prioritise own workloads and others.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work well under pressure.
- Eligible to work in Ireland, and proficient in English (verbal and written).
