LV Switchgear & Control Panel Testers

About this role 

As a Low Voltage switchgear and Control Panel Tester, you will play a critical part in the organisation’s success by ensuring product reliability, supporting a culture of continuous improvement and ultimately delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Key responsibilities 
  • Inspect and test LV switchgear and control panels in a timely manner.
  • Test power systems utilising equipment such as phase meters, hi-potential testers, meggers and infrared thermometers.
  • Deliver physical pre-testing activities for the products to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Cooperate with Project Manager to successfully complete FAT testing.
  • Input inspection and testing records accurately in the relevant platform.
  • Actively participate in quality improvement projects.
  • Mentor less experienced team members where applicable.
  • Comply with all safety limitations and procedures.
  • Adhere to company values at all times.
  • Deliver any other duties associated with this role.
Requirements
  • Qualified Electrician (recognised in Ireland) or Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • At least 3 years post-qualification experience.
  • Experience in manufacturing is essential, preferably in the LV Switchgear industry.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and documents.
  • Ability to inspect, troubleshoot, recommend repairs and modifications.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Understanding of the hazards associated with LV Switchgear.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage and prioritise own workloads and others.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Eligible to work in Ireland, and proficient in English (verbal and written).
